Korathis - Military

Korathis has what is widely considered the most formidable military when it comes to arms and armor. Their draconic heritage also allows a decent amount of magic usage to be mixed in, but the primary asset is their ability to mass produce high quality arms and armor. It may not have the unique craftsmanship of the dwarves, but if you want good quality and a lot of it, Korathis is where you go.

Ground Forces: 30,000-40,000. Well trained fighters in their own well made arms and armor. Its said that a single Korathi warrior is worth five Kragvost barbarians. The Korathi army is highly trained and made up of disciplined units of warriors using shield and sword. Ranged units use crossbows and have short swords for melee engagements. Shield Walls, Maneuvers and Tactics are the mark of Korathis army efficiency.

Air Forces: 200-250 Dragon Riders. The Wyrmguard Citadel focuses on breeding and training dragon mounts, and its considered a high honor to be selected to become a dragon rider. See Korathis - Dragon Riders.

Navy: 200 Small, 50 Medium, 10 Large Vessels. Korathi warships mirror their approach to their arms and armor. They are consistent, functional, and powerful.

Small Vessels (3-20 Crew) - Flamewing Class Skirmisher - A nimble sloop with sails woven from fire-resistant ironbark fibers and wing-like masts. Excelling in hit-and-run tactics

Medium Vessels (20-50 Crew) - Forgeheart Class Bombard - A mid-sized carrack bristling with cannons and ballistae forged in Drakehold's crucibles.

Large Vessels (200+ Crew) - Ashguard Class Dreadnought - A colossal galleon with towering cliffsides of black basalt armor, evoking Drakehold's fortifications. A massive ram will hammer through anything it hits, and its broadsides are cannon with explosive shot or fire bombs. The deck is bristling scorpions to dissuade boarding attempts.
