Zephyris fields the most mobile and storm-riding military in the Shattered Veil, where every squadron is a fleet-family and every battle is a wind-song. Numbers are fluid—tied to the season’s fleets—but forces specialize in aerial dominance, lightning raids, and monsoonal repositioning, making them the archipelago’s unrivaled skyway enforcers and storm-heralds.
Ground Forces: 18,000–25,000 (when planet-side)
Organized into Windrider Clans that deploy from skyships; most combatants are skyborn and fight only to secure landing zones.
Tempest Scouts: Rangers and Rogues. Lightning Strikers: Dexterity based shock-troops and fighters. Sky Auxiliaries: Engineers. Windcallers: Air attuned Shaman and Pilots.
Air Forces: 500 Small, 200 Medium, 10 Large size vessels
Every vessel is a living fleet-home powered by Sails, Wings, Propellers, Veilbreak crystals or a mix thereof. Crewed by captain-led families with a Windcaller aboard. Roles are Trade-lane patrol, storm reconnaissance, and pirate interdiction.
