Leyline

There is a leyline of immense power that rests below where @Lord Thamtew Coatturner built the @Daargon's Rest Cellars. There is a tunnel system that he has had dug by miners he hired from @Hammerbreak-by-the-Brine. The leyline grants many enhancements to magical abilities. While @Lord Thamtew Coatturner uses it to infuse enchantments over time into objects, turning the mundane into magical items. It seems the power is somewhat random currently, but he wants to control it to make an item that will slow a creeping disease that has befallen a friend.

While @Lord Thamtew Coatturner wants to use the leyline for his own purposes, he was told of its location by Dagon of the Shadowsea for a more sinister plot. @Lord Thamtew Coatturner turns a blind eye to those who live on @Lord Thamtew's Estate who have been using the leyline’s power to form a connection between this plane and the Shadowsea. This allows them to drink in abyssal energies into their own bodies, turning their flesh into obyrith-like scales; one such as this is known as @Obyrith's Herald. They can also call into this plane a @Shadowsea Hound that acts as a guard.
