There is a leyline of immense power in @The Planar Nexus Caverns that rest below @Lord Thamtew's Estate, accessible through where @Lord Thamtew Coatturner built the @Daargon's Rest Cellars. There is a tunnel system that he had excavated by miners hired from @Hammerbreak-by-the-Brine, led by @Skarhar Chainbuster. The leyline can amplify and augment many magical abilities. @Lord Thamtew Coatturner uses it to infuse enchantments over time into objects, turning the mundane into magical items. It seems the power is somewhat chaotic, but he wants to control it to make powerful artifacts with strong arcane properties. To that end, @Lord Thamtew Coatturner has found an ancient object known as the @Dagon Sphere which was crafted by beings of immense power in order to push back the primordial demon lord Dagon from our plane into the Shadowsea. Using what he knows of interplanar travel, @Lord Thamtew Coatturner was able to pull forth a duplicate of this powerful object from a parallel dimension, which he calls the@Dagon Echo. This is the object he uses to control the leyline at @The Planar Nexus Caverns.
While @Lord Thamtew Coatturner wants to use the leyline for his own purposes, he was told of its location by Dagon of the Shadowsea for a more sinister plot. @Lord Thamtew Coatturner turns a blind eye to those who live on @Lord Thamtew's Estate, many of whom have been using the leyline’s power to form a connection between this plane and the Shadowsea of the Abyss. This allows them to drink in abyssal waters, flooding their own bodies with twisting energies turning their flesh into obyrith-like abominations; one such as this is known as @Obyrith's Herald. They can also call into this plane a @Shadowsea Hound that acts as a guard. Through his possession of the @Dagon Sphere, @Lord Thamtew Coatturner is immune to the influences of the Shadowsea and protected from the abominations that are brought forth from the Abyssal Plane.
