They are the lifeblood of @Hammerbreak-by-the-Brine, supplying employment, goods for trade, ore for smithing, purpose, and pride to the dwarves who have lived here for centuries.
The @Plumpicker Mines – Upper Caverns are connected to the surface and the commercial hub of @Hammerbreak-by-the-Brine through the @Mine Gatewatch. This portion of the mine has been excavated and picked clean for decades. Now old shafts have been repurposed as storehouses and living quarters. The @Plumpicker Bunkhouse is a common area for miners to relax and sleep when they do not feel the need to surface between shifts. The @Upper Cavern Storeroom has all manner of tools for excavation and extraction, as well as a supply of @Miner's Hardhat for those who prefer to keep their heads intact.
@Plumpicker Mines Elevator Shaft provides easy and fast connection between the @Plumpicker Mines – Upper Caverns and @Plumpicker Mines - Lower Caverns. Although other tunnels and shafts also connect these cavern systems, this is the safest and most direct route.
@Plumpicker Mines - Lower Caverns are the current site of active excavation in the @Plumpicker Mines. Picks hack at rock face to uncover fresh nodes of deep purple stone. The @Plumpicker Amethyst that is carefully extracted from each vein shines even in the torchlight of the tunnels. Some even hum with some unseen latent energy. Here the most active sites are @The Amethyst Vein and @The Gilded Scar. @The Gilded Scar is the site of an unexpected large amount of gold deposits. At the lower levels of @Plumpicker Mines - Lower Caverns the sea begins to seep in, and the pure brine water has a distinct salty smell and taste that is actually quite pleasant. Recently the wall of a deep shaft has collapsed and revealed a cavern system largely submerged by seawater that is connected to the mines: @The Sunken Depths.
@The Sunken Depths are an area of the @Plumpicker Mines that has yet to be explored by miners of @Hammerbreak-by-the-Brine. It appears to be a natural or ancient cavern system that connects and runs below the ocean. Knowing @The Abyssal Depths pulse at the tunnel walls, most believe access to @The Sunken Depths should be resealed and forgotten. Others believe untold gems and treasure lies in the darkness. Shadows play at the walls and whispers permeate, making it a mysterious and quite terrifying portion of the @Plumpicker Mines.
@Brine-Kissed Maw is the access point that was recently discovered connecting the @Plumpicker Mines - Lower Caverns with @The Sunken Depths.
