Junior Investigators (Lower Classes)
Junior investigators are the workforce of the CCG. They are always paired with a senior mentor for field operations and safety.
Rank 3 (Bureau Investigator / Trainee)
Graduate from the CCG Training Academy or be hired through special administrative tracks.
Role: Desk work, processing paperwork, and basic field support. They cannot use quinques and carry standard firearms with Q-bullets.
Rank 2 (Field Investigator Entry Level)
Automatic starting rank for top-tier Academy graduates (like Akira Mado), or promotion from Rank 3 through consistent field merit
Role: This is the first rank permitted to carry a quinque briefcase. They are assigned basic B or C-rate weapons and work under strict supervision.
Rank 1
Accumulate substantial combat experience and independent case resolutions.
Role: The highest junior rank. They can lead small localized operations and are often given more powerful, customized quinques.
Senior Investigators (Upper Classes)
Senior investigators are elite combatants who can operate independently, command squads, and claim high-rate quinques.
First Class
Exceptional merit, a high ghoul extermination count, and a formal recommendation from an Associate Special Class or higher.
Role: They can mentor their own Junior Investigator. They are granted access to S-rate quinques and typically oversee the daily security of entire sub-wards.
Associate Special Class
Mastery in combat, leadership of large-scale operations, and approval from the CCG upper management.
Role: Powerful combatants who lead major tactical raids. They are cleared to handle highly volatile SS-rate weapons.
Special Class
The absolute pinnacle of the CCG. Promotion requires defeating an incredibly powerful ghoul (typically an SSS-rate or legendary target like the Owl) or achieving historic tactical breakthroughs.
Role: They oversee entire Wards, dictate CCG military strategy, and wield the most devastating SSS-rate armor and weapons available.
White Wing Medals Tiers
These are Medals given to investigators who beat an S-rated ghoul or higher by themselves.
Single White Wing Medal: Awarded for defeating an S-rated ghoul.
Double White Wing Medal: Awarded for defeating an SS-rated ghoul.
White Dragon Wing Medal: Awarded for defeating an SSS-rated ghoul.
