CCG Work

The CCG is basically a homicide detective; their jobs are a lot of detective work and fighting. They have to file reports on all incidents they are involved in. These reports include things like identifiers of who they were fighting, if this ghoul they were fighting was a known ghoul, they put the code name that was given for that ghoul, if this ghoul didn't have any known allias its given one and an estimated rank. They also file this ghoul's RC type they also explain any weird behaviors this ghoul has. They will also put down what ghoul rating they believe it to be, such as C,B,A,S, SS, and SSS+. Those are the ghoul ratings.

Academy Instruction and Mentorship
High ranking investigators are frequently pulled from the field to train the next generation of ghoul hunters. They will act as mentors sometimes teaching them things like martial arts. What to do when fighting a ghoul. They will explain criminal law and teach them about ghoul biology. In the field, a senior investigator (like Kureo Mado) is paired with a junior investigator (like Amon Koutarou). The veteran is responsible for the daily on-the-job training, tactical molding, and survival skills of their subordinate.

Community Outreach and Media Relations
To maintain public funding and keep the civilian population from panicking, the CCG invests heavily in public relations. They do things like public safety seminars. Investigators visit schools, community centers, and businesses to teach civilians how to spot signs of ghoul activity and how to safely report suspicious behavior. High-profile cases require public updates. Special Class investigators are occasionally forced to speak to the media, manage public panic, and defend the CCG's steep operational budgets.

Psychological and Physical Conditioning
Since humans are naturally weaker than ghouls, investigators spend hours in specialized CCG gyms doing heavy weight training and reflex conditioning to close the physical gap. Due to the horrific nature of their work and the high mortality rates of their peers, investigators must undergo regular mental health screenings to ensure they haven't become unstable or compromised.
