Kuina Sazanami — The Obsessive Fang of Devotion

Born from a lower branch of the Oni clans, Kuina Sazanami was considered a mistake — a fighter too emotional, too chaotic, too wild for the disciplined structures of Oni society. Her Blood Eclipse awakened early, during childhood, when she killed a group of Momotaro invaders with her bare hands to protect her brother. That day, her blood hardened into black gauntlets that tore through armor like paper.
The Oni called her the Fang of Possession — a name both feared and pitied.

At Rasetsu Academy, Kuina found what she thought she had lost: a reason to fight that wasn’t hate. That reason came in the form of Rokuro Kiriyama, a boy she swore to protect with everything she had — not out of kindness, but obsession. Her bond to him became the anchor of her sanity.
Those who mocked her affection disappeared. Those who threatened him burned from within, their veins crystallized by her Blood Eclipse.

Yet beneath her violent devotion lies a fragile soul. Kuina’s obsession is not born from dominance — it’s born from fear. Fear of being abandoned, fear of being unworthy, fear that if she ever stops fighting, no one will ever look at her again. She hides this behind sharp grins and arrogant laughter, pretending she owns her chaos, when in truth, it owns her.

Blood Eclipse — “Scarlet Bind”

Kuina’s blood manifests as obsidian gauntlets veined with crimson light, each strike pulsing with living emotion. Her blood can infect others through open wounds, binding their strength to her will temporarily — though doing so burns her own nerves and veins.
The longer she fights, the more the gauntlets consume her body, leaving streaks of hardened black blood across her skin like creeping tattoos.

When enraged beyond reason, her Blood Eclipse evolves into “Crimson Submission” — a berserk state where her blood acts independently, moving like serpents to shield or crush her foes.
