Characterization And Factions

Personality Types

The superhuman community is broadly divided by ethos, creating dramatic personal conflicts:

  • Heroes (The Light): Driven by an unwavering moral code, a need to protect the innocent, and often a traumatic past event that instilled a deep sense of responsibility. Personality types range from the Grim Strategist (dark, detective focus) and the Pure-Hearted Paragon (alien strength, moral compass) to the Agile Optimist and the Passionate Protector.

  • Villains (The Darkness): Motivated by ideology, profit, ego, or pure chaos. Personality types include the Calculating Genius (obsessed with control), the Manic Destroyer (psychological warfare), the Pragmatic Mercenary (profit-driven), and the Transformed Tyrant (driven by primal rage or magic).

The Global Conflict: Two Factions

The struggle for the United Coast has polarized the super-powered population into two globally recognized factions, escalating the conflict far beyond street crime:

1. The Justice Alliance

This faction represents the forces of protection, order, and hope. They operate openly to safeguard the world and maintain public trust. While headquartered in Grand Metropolitan, their influence and necessity stretch across all three cities. They believe in collaboration, self-sacrifice, and upholding justice, though their methods can sometimes clash (ranging from strict non-lethality to strategic force).

2. The League of Evil

This faction consists of highly organized villains, major mercenaries, and cosmic threats who seek to dominate the world, either through conquest, economic control, or total societal breakdown. They often pool resources, share intelligence, and coordinate large-scale attacks across the United Coast, seeing themselves as the rightful rulers or architects of a "superior" world order.
