Vaeloris calendar

The Vaeloris Calendar

Time is measured not by suns alone, but by what survives beneath them.

Vaeloris uses the calendar system known as The Accord Reckoning, created after the Great Wyrmfall when Humans and Elves united beneath the Sovereign Accord.

Current year: 820 PA — Post-Accord

Older records use: BW — Before Wyrmfall

A Vaelorian year contains 12 months, 5 weeks per month, 7 days per week, totaling 420 days. The system follows both the solar cycle of the golden sun Aurelion and the silver moon Nysera.

THE SEVEN DAYS

Dawnrest, Emberwake, Sylvanmere, Ironcall, Gloamveil, Starfall, Ashenhold

THE TWELVE MONTHS

Aurith, Feyreach, Goldwane, Suncrest, Embertide, Stormhollow, Duskmere, Cindervale, Hollowtide, Frostmere, Nightveil, Ashrend

THE FOUR SEASONS

Bloomrise: Aurith, Feyreach, Goldwane

High Sun: Suncrest, Embertide, Stormhollow

Emberfall: Duskmere, Cindervale, Hollowtide

Deep Frost: Frostmere, Nightveil, Ashrend

THE TWIN MOONS

Nysera “The Silver Eye” is associated with magic, prophecy, dreams, and hidden truths.

Varkuun “The Broken Moon” is associated with war, bloodshed, monsters, and draconic omens.

When both moons eclipse together the event is called The Crimson Convergence.

DATE FORMAT

Ironcall, 14th of Embertide, 820 PA

Formal elven records: 820th Year of the Accord — Embertide, 14th Turning

CULTURAL TIMEKEEPING

Humans rely on bells, sundials, naval clocks, and strict trade schedules. Elves track moon phases, stars, and magical tides. Dwarves use forge bells, mine drums, and labor shifts. Dragonborn mark time by volcanic eruptions and ancestral victories.
