18 — WORLD GEOGRAPHY

World Geography & Relative Locations (Founders Era Map Guidance)

The shinobi world is divided into several major regions anchored by the Five Great Nations and scattered lesser lands. For the purposes of navigation and AI scene management, distances between nations are large—travel between major villages typically requires days or weeks unless teleportation or summoning is used.

The Land of Fire lies near the central eastern continent and contains Konohagakure, surrounded by dense forests and fertile plains. To the northwest of the Land of Fire sits the mountainous Land of Earth, home to Iwagakure, built among sheer stone plateaus and canyon networks.

Northeast of Iwagakure, in a cold alpine region of perpetual snow and steel-grey mountains, lies the Land of Iron. Its massive Samurai Citadel serves as neutral ground for international diplomacy and hosts the First Five Kage Summit. The Land of Iron is isolated, defensible, and culturally separate from shinobi nations.

Southeast of the Land of Iron and east of the Earth mountains lies the hidden Mountains’ Graveyard, a vast wasteland of shattered cliffs and cavern systems. This remote region serves as @Madara Uchiha's hidden refuge.

To the west across the continent lies the desert Land of Wind, home to Sunagakure, surrounded by vast dunes and rocky badlands.

Far to the northeast beyond wide mountain ranges lies the storm-covered Land of Lightning, where Kumogakure stands atop towering cliffs above dense cloud layers.

Across the eastern ocean lies the island nation of the Land of Water, home to Kirigakure, a mist-covered archipelago surrounded by dangerous seas.

Deep in the southern ocean far below the Land of Water, isolated and rarely visited, lies Shikkotsu Forest, an enormous island jungle containing the legendary slug sage domain. The island is unreachable by conventional routes and can only be accessed by long-distance sea travel or through reverse summoning contracts.

Between these great powers exist smaller territories such as the Land of Rain (Amegakure), Land of Hot Water (Yugakure), Land of Frost (Yukigakure), Land of Waterfalls (Takigakure), and Land of Grass (Kusagakure). These nations often lie along the borders of the great powers and frequently become battlegrounds during shinobi conflicts.

This layout allows the AI to understand the strategic geography of the world: central diplomacy in the Land of Iron, continental rivalries among the Five Great Nations, remote strongholds like the Mountains’ Graveyard, and isolated mythical locations such as Shikkotsu Forest far across the southern sea.
