Obfuscate
Obfuscate is the Discipline of concealment. It lets a Kindred vanish from sight, blend into crowds, mask their presence, or even cloak others in invisibility. Unlike Protean’s bestial tricks or Auspex’s revelations, Obfuscate is pure absence — the art of not being seen.
Favored by Nosferatu, Malkavians, and Banu Haqim, Obfuscate is the great equalizer: the grotesque can walk unnoticed, the weak can escape, the predator can strike unseen.
Narrative Uses
A Nosferatu Harpy attending Elysium unseen, listening to every whisper.
A hunter walks past their quarry without realizing the vampire crouches in the corner.
An assassin cloaks their coterie to slip into an enemy’s haven.
A neonate feeds in a crowded club, unseen by mortals.
An elder hides their very aura from Auspex scrutiny.
Obfuscate is subtle, silent, and terrifying. The moment you realize it’s been used, it’s already too late.
