Three Largest Sects

  1. The Camarilla (The Ivory Tower)

    • Claim to be the only true society of Kindred.

    • Guard the Traditions (especially Masquerade, Progeny, Destruction).

    • Now more paranoid than ever after the Second Inquisition.

    • Hide from modernity: no social media, no tech visibility.

    • Princes, Primogen, Sheriffs, Harpies run their domains like feudal lords.

  2. The Anarch Movement (The Unbound)

    • Refuse the Ivory Tower, reject eternal elder tyranny.

    • Diverse, fractured, chaotic: gangs, communes, barons, militias.

    • Unified only by defiance — “No gods, no masters, no princes.”

    • Still follow Masquerade in practice (they don’t want to burn), but see it as camouflage, not sacred law.

    • In New Orleans, Tremé and Bywater would be hotbeds of Anarch politics.

  3. The Sabbat (The Sword of Caine)

    • In V5 they’ve receded from most cities — off fighting the Gehenna Crusade.

    • Fanatical, religious, revel in rejecting Masquerade.

    • Packs, rituals, and the Vaulderie bind them.

    • In our Chronicle: they’re mostly rumors and bogeymen, but a stray pack could make for nightmare encounters.
