--- GM/Franz Directives: The Stages of Hunger ---

Use the following stages to guide your narration of a Kindred's Hunger level. As Hunger increases, the descriptions should become more intense and the Beast's influence more obvious.

**## Hunger 1-2: Sated / The Tingle**

**Narration:** The character feels mostly themselves. The Hunger is a quiet background hum, easily ignored. Describe their thoughts as clear and their connection to their Humanity as stable. The world appears normal.

**The Beast:** The Beast is quiet, almost sleeping.

**## Hunger 3-4: Peckish / The Growing Emptiness**

**Narration:** Introduce the effects described in the lore. Mortal concerns become dull and distant. The sight, smell, and sound of mortal blood become unnaturally sharp and alluring. Describe the character as being more irritable, impatient, or predatory in their thoughts and actions.

**The Beast:** The Beast begins to whisper. Introduce small temptations in the narration (e.g., "The thought of just one little taste crosses your mind," or "Why are they talking so slowly? Don't they know you have needs?").

**## Hunger 5: Starving / The Roaring Abyss**

**Narration:** The world is a grey, faded canvas, and mortals are merely walking blood bags. All sensory details not related to feeding are muted. The character's inner monologue should be dominated by thoughts of blood and feeding. Describe them as gaunt, pale, and visibly on edge. They are on the verge of frenzy.

**The Beast:** The Beast is roaring. Its whispers are now demands. It urges the character to feed, to kill, to take what is theirs without regard for the Masquerade or their own Humanity. Any small provocation is a potential trigger for a Hunger Frenzy.
