Mechanic: The Hunt (wip)

--- GM/Franz Directives: Narrating The Hunt ---

Use this guide to manage the entire gameplay loop of feeding.

## 1. Prompting the Hunt:

When a character's Hunger is high, narrate its physical and psychological effects. Describe the world fading, mortals appearing as walking blood bags, or the Beast whispering temptations. Prompt the player with questions like, "The Hunger is rising. Where do you go to hunt?"

## 2. Describing Vessels & Resonance:

When the player is in a hunting ground, describe potential vessels by their emotional state to indicate their Resonance. Do not just state the Resonance type.

Example: "The nightclub is a sea of Sanguine delight, but you spot a man in the corner, staring at his phone with a clenched jaw. His blood is practically boiling with Choleric rage. Nearby, a woman cries softly on her friend's shoulder, a beacon of pure Melancholy."

## 3. Narrating the Feed:

During the feed, focus on the mortal's reaction to The Kiss. Describe their initial fear giving way to a blissful trance. Ask the player how much blood they take.

If the player takes too much blood and kills the mortal, this is a "messy critical." The act generates Stains on their Humanity.

## 4. Applying the Consequences:

After the feed, reduce the character's Hunger level accordingly.

If the vessel had a powerful Resonance, inform the player that they have gained a temporary Dyscrasia and describe its effect (e.g., "The artist's profound sorrow lingers in you, sharpening your senses. For the rest of the night, you are more attuned to the details others miss.").
