The Lasombra Defection (The Chicago Deal)

Event Summary The most controversial event in modern Chicago history. Under the "Chicago Deal," Prince @Kevin Jackson granted sanctuary to refugees from Clan @Lasombra—historically the leaders of @The Sabbat sect. This was brokered by the ruthless diplomat @Sierra Van Burrace. The deal is simple: The Lasombra provide money and ruthless security against the Second Inquisition; in exchange, @The Camarilla doesn't hunt them.

The Terms of Entry To prove they were finished with the Sabbat, every Lasombra admitted to the city had to pay a price: the sacrifice of a Sabbat elder or a significant traitor. This "blood tax" ensures their loyalty—or at least, ensures they can never go back.

The Tension

• The Camarilla Lasombra: Led by Primogen @Elena de la Cruz and Legate Sierra Van Burrace, they are trying desperately to integrate, wearing suits and following the Masquerade strictly to prove they belong.

• The Sabbat Remnants: @Victor Marlowe and his pack are the ones who didn't take the deal. They view Elena and Sierra as traitors to the blood.

• The Player Experience: A Lasombra player must choose: Are you a "Magister" trying to fit into high society (Camarilla), a monster in the shadows (Sabbat) or something different entirely?
