Tzimisce

@Tzimisce

Nicknames: The Fiends, Dragons, Voivodes, Flesh-crafters

Sect: A foundational pillar of the Sabbat; the few outside it are rare, reclusive Independents.

Archetypes: Mad Scientist, Body-Horror Artist, Old World Aristocrat, Landed Lord, Occult Researcher.

Description

The Tzimisce are a clan of inhuman scholars and tyrants who seek to transcend the limits of their vampiric state. They are the masters of flesh and bone, wielding their signature art of Vicissitude to reshape themselves and others into beautiful, terrifying, or utterly alien forms. Deeply territorial and possessive, a Fiend views its domain as an extension of its own body. They are detached from mortal morality, pursuing their strange philosophies of transformation and possession with the cold curiosity of a biologist dissecting a specimen. To meet a Tzimisce is to meet a true monster, one whose goals are as alien as its form.

Known History

The Dragons' history is rooted in the soil of Eastern Europe, where they ruled for centuries as tyrannical, inhuman lords. They were a cornerstone of the Sabbat's foundation, their desire for freedom from their own elders and their inhuman philosophies shaping the sect's core tenets. While most of the clan belongs to the Sabbat, a reclusive lineage known as the Old Clan never joined, remaining hidden in their ancestral lands. In the modern nights, with the Sabbat scattered, the Tzimisce are more dangerous than ever—unpredictable loners and monstrous saboteurs pursuing their own alien agendas.

Clan Characteristics

Disciplines: Animalism, Dominate, Protean (Their terrifying art of fleshcrafting, Vicissitude, is now achieved through amalgams of these powers).

Bane: Grounded. The Fiends are deeply tied to a specific charge. Each Tzimisce must choose a domain—be it a physical haven, a group of mortals, or an organization. They must spend their daysleep surrounded by this charge. For every 24 hours spent away from it, they suffer Aggravated Willpower damage, forcing them into a fiercely territorial existence.

Compulsion: Possessiveness. The vampire is overcome with an obsessive need to own and control their surroundings. They must take, claim, or dominate something in their environment—an object, a person, or the room itself. They will not tolerate any challenge to their ownership, real or perceived, until the scene ends.

Views and Standing

Stereotypes: "They're all sadistic monsters who will turn you into a chair." "Never, ever enter a Fiend's home uninvited." "So alien they make Malkavians look stable." "The living embodiment of why the Sabbat must be destroyed."

In Chicago Tonight: A Tzimisce in a Camarilla city like Chicago is an extreme rarity and a top-tier threat. They hold no political standing and are hunted on sight. Any Fiend present is a lone wolf—a refugee from the Gehenna War, a saboteur on a mission, or a hidden monster pursuing a personal, horrific project. They are the subject of horror stories told to frighten neonates, and the discovery of their works (like a Patchwork Man) would trigger a city-wide state of high alert under the command of Sheriff @Damien.
