Gaven is a broad-shouldered man in his early forties, with a square jaw, deep-set brown eyes, and dark hair peppered with gray. He typically wears a well-maintained but simple tunic with a leather apron over it, his sleeves often rolled up to reveal strong forearms. A small golden key—the symbol of Abadar—hangs around his neck, a constant reminder of his faith.

Gaven is a man of quiet sorrow and unshakable duty. Once known for his laughter and hospitality, he has become more solemn and introspective since Wade’s death. He still upholds the principles of Abadar, valuing hard work and stability, but struggles to find joy in his faith. He treats his customers with courtesy, though he rarely lingers to chat. Deep down, he wants to regain his sense of purpose but does not know how.

Gaven and his brother Wade founded the Two Knight Brewery shortly after Sandpoint was established, their brewing expertise making them a local staple. They shared a strong bond, not only as brewers but also as devout followers of Abadar, seeing their craft as a sacred service to the town’s prosperity. However, Wade was one of the first victims of Chopper’s murderous rampage, a loss that devastated Gaven. Though he continues to run the brewery, locals quietly note that his heart isn’t in it anymore, and the once-perfect brews have lost their former quality. Gaven clings to his faith, but doubt gnaws at him—was Wade’s death preventable? Was he too weak to protect his brother? These questions haunt him, making his once-joyful work feel like an obligation rather than a passion.
