What was once a single city has now expanded to most of Faerun in this High Fantasy adventure of magic, technology, and secrets to uncover!

Now expanded and reimagined for deeper exploration and immersive play. Waterdeep: The City of Splendors is your main gateway to the other famous Sword Coast locations like Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter, the Moonsea Region, and even the distant reaches of the Outer Planes. While Waterdeep remains the heart of the experience, its surrounding territories are available for those bold enough to venture beyond the city walls. This adaptation builds upon official Forgotten Realms lore, but introduces both minor and major changes to support a more engaging and open-ended campaign. For example, the characters from Baldur’s Gate 3 are playable, but have been recontextualized to exist in Waterdeep rather than Baldur’s Gate. Content is designed for compatibility with Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, Dungeon of the Mad Mage, and a host of original plot hooks waiting to be uncovered across the city’s alleys, taverns, towers, and catacombs. You’re free to explore at your own pace, shape the world as you see fit, or lose yourself in the layered politics, mysteries, and magic of the world. Description

The Bluelake District serves as Neverwinter’s most affluent quarter, home to noble estates, influential merchants, and the city’s old money. Access is limited, patrolled by guards and watched from behind curtained windows. It is a place of legacy and appearance, where reputation holds as much weight as coin. Political maneuvering and quiet rivalries unfold behind garden walls. While removed from the city’s bustle, the district remains a hub of influence, its residents shaping decisions far beyond their gates.

Appearance

Broad lanes run between manicured lawns, marble fountains, and high stone walls topped with wrought iron. Elegant manors rise behind gates, each unique in architecture but uniformly pristine. Trees line the streets in symmetrical rows, their blossoms carefully tended. Decorative lamps cast soft light on polished cobbles. The nearby lake reflects the estates’ facades, undisturbed and clear. Everything is clean, quiet, and guarded—by both steel and social divide.
