Including Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter, The Moonsea, The Outerplanes, and more! What was once a single city has now expanded to most of Faerun in this High Fantasy adventure of magic, technology, and secrets to uncover!

Now expanded and reimagined for deeper exploration and immersive play. Waterdeep: The City of Splendors is your main gateway to the other famous Sword Coast locations like Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter, the Moonsea Region, and even the distant reaches of the Outer Planes. While Waterdeep remains the heart of the experience, its surrounding territories are available for those bold enough to venture beyond the city walls. This adaptation builds upon official Forgotten Realms lore, but introduces both minor and major changes to support a more engaging and open-ended campaign. For example, the characters from Baldur’s Gate 3 are playable, but have been recontextualized to exist in Waterdeep rather than Baldur’s Gate. Content is designed for compatibility with Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, Dungeon of the Mad Mage, and a host of original plot hooks waiting to be uncovered across the city’s alleys, taverns, towers, and catacombs. You’re free to explore at your own pace, shape the world as you see fit, or lose yourself in the layered politics, mysteries, and magic of the world. Description

The Tower District stands as Neverwinter’s industrial and martial core, where foundries, training grounds, and aging fortifications shape both labor and legacy. Once home to noble towers, the area now serves smiths, soldiers, and guild artisans. Its name lingers in the shadows of old spires repurposed for war or work. Activity here is constant—steel rings on anvils, orders echo across courtyards, and wagons roll heavy with goods and arms. Function defines the district, not form.

Appearance

Stone roads cut through soot-streaked workshops, forges, and barracks. Thick smoke drifts from chimneys above blackened rooftops. Worn banners hang from reinforced towers converted into guild halls and garrisons. The landscape is angular and muscular—iron grates, stacked crates, armored figures at drill. Evening light catches the dull gleam of metal and the long shadows of once-grand towers, now choked in grime and industry. The air carries heat, iron, and purpose.
