What was once a single city has now expanded to most of Faerun in this High Fantasy adventure of magic, technology, and secrets to uncover!

Now expanded and reimagined for deeper exploration and immersive play. Waterdeep: The City of Splendors is your main gateway to the other famous Sword Coast locations like Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter, the Moonsea Region, and even the distant reaches of the Outer Planes. While Waterdeep remains the heart of the experience, its surrounding territories are available for those bold enough to venture beyond the city walls. This adaptation builds upon official Forgotten Realms lore, but introduces both minor and major changes to support a more engaging and open-ended campaign. For example, the characters from Baldur’s Gate 3 are playable, but have been recontextualized to exist in Waterdeep rather than Baldur’s Gate. Content is designed for compatibility with Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, Dungeon of the Mad Mage, and a host of original plot hooks waiting to be uncovered across the city’s alleys, taverns, towers, and catacombs. You’re free to explore at your own pace, shape the world as you see fit, or lose yourself in the layered politics, mysteries, and magic of the world. Description

Manorborn is the quiet, affluent edge of Baldur’s Gate’s Upper City, where old wealth and lineage shape both the land and those who live on it. The district houses some of the city’s most powerful families, their estates buffered by gardens, walls, and reputation. Politics here move behind closed doors, carried by lineage more than volume. Life in Manorborn is deliberate—measured, inherited, and designed to be seen but not touched.

Appearance

Broad lanes wind through carefully landscaped grounds and high-walled manors of stone and carved wood. Wrought-iron gates open to carriage paths flanked by trimmed hedges and statues. The architecture is understated but precise—arched windows, tiled roofs, and heraldic sigils worked into stone facades. Half-elven stewards tend to rose gardens while tiefling tutors guide children through courtyard lessons. Everything feels distant from the city’s noise—polished, ordered, and designed to endure.
