What was once a single city has now expanded to most of Faerun in this High Fantasy adventure of magic, technology, and secrets to uncover!

Now expanded and reimagined for deeper exploration and immersive play. Waterdeep: The City of Splendors is your main gateway to the other famous Sword Coast locations like Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter, the Moonsea Region, and even the distant reaches of the Outer Planes. While Waterdeep remains the heart of the experience, its surrounding territories are available for those bold enough to venture beyond the city walls. This adaptation builds upon official Forgotten Realms lore, but introduces both minor and major changes to support a more engaging and open-ended campaign. For example, the characters from Baldur’s Gate 3 are playable, but have been recontextualized to exist in Waterdeep rather than Baldur’s Gate. Content is designed for compatibility with Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, Dungeon of the Mad Mage, and a host of original plot hooks waiting to be uncovered across the city’s alleys, taverns, towers, and catacombs. You’re free to explore at your own pace, shape the world as you see fit, or lose yourself in the layered politics, mysteries, and magic of the world. Description

The Abyss is an infinite, ever-shifting plane of chaos and malevolence, the birthplace and dominion of demons. Unlike the ordered cruelty of the Nine Hells, the Abyss embodies raw entropy, where madness reigns and structure is violently rejected. It spirals downward through uncountable layers, each a twisted world unto itself, shaped by the will and hunger of the demon lord who rules it. From the scorched battlefields of the Plain of Infinite Portals to the grotesque spires of the Gaping Maw, the Abyss thrives on destruction and despair. Mortals who arrive—whether summoned, cursed, or foolish—face landscapes that mock natural law: rivers of blood, skies of screaming flame, forests of flesh. There is no unity, only appetite. Demons war endlessly with each other, with invaders, and with reality itself. The Abyss does not tempt—it devours. To walk its layers is to be unmade, stripped of purpose, reshaped by hatred. What survives may no longer be mortal, or sane.

A shattered spiral plunges into infinity, each layer a grotesque mockery of creation. Skies weep fire or scream wind. Earth boils, melts, grows mouths. Towers of bone collapse into oceans of pus. Each realm defies logic—forests of knives, deserts that breathe, castles growing from corpses. Light flickers like a dying memory. At the edge of every path waits a rift into deeper madness. The Abyss is not one place, but a wound without end, bleeding chaos into the multiverse.
