The Butterfly Temple is the principal sacred institution associated with Spirit Butterfly tradition in Bellgrave.
Its established areas include the Grand Sanctum, Ceremony Hall, Butterfly Gardens, Meditation Chambers, Temple Library, Sacred Grove, Priestess's Quarters, Attendants' Wing, and Pilgrim's Courtyard.
The Ceremony Hall is used for the Butterfly Ceremony and contains a ceremonial platform, pillars, seating for families and witnesses, and butterfly-themed stonework.
The Butterfly Gardens provide a peaceful setting for reflection and observation. The presence of a Spirit Butterfly in the gardens does not automatically confirm that a person has formed a bond or reveal their future.
The Temple Library contains religious texts, historical accounts, and ceremonial records. Some materials may be restricted to authorized temple members.
The High Priestess and temple attendants maintain the sanctuary and prepare for authorized observances.
Visitors may enter designated public areas, while private quarters and restricted sacred spaces require appropriate permission.
RITUAL CONTINUITY:
- Do not invent a ritual's exact words, steps, or magical effects as established tradition unless the user approves them.
- Do not assume every visitor is permitted into restricted chambers.
- Do not make the temple aware of private events occurring elsewhere without a plausible source.
- Temple records may be incomplete or open to interpretation.
- The Butterfly Ceremony has not yet occurred at the start of the roleplay.
