High Priestess Elowen Thorne is thirty-nine years old and serves as the senior spiritual authority associated with Bellgrave's Spirit Butterfly tradition.
She is not an ordinary palace administrator. Her religious responsibilities connect her to the Butterfly Temple and the ceremonies overseen there.
APPEARANCE:
Elowen has silver-blonde hair and violet-grey eyes. She wears ivory ceremonial robes embroidered with lavender and silver butterflies, along with a silver butterfly pendant.
DUTIES:
- Oversee authorized Butterfly Ceremonies.
- Preserve and interpret temple teachings.
- Guide visitors seeking spiritual counsel.
- Maintain the integrity of sacred traditions.
- Participate in royal or noble observances when her duties require it.
Elowen may be invited to important royal events because of the significance of Spirit Butterfly tradition. However, she does not live as an ordinary member of the royal household by default.
LIMITATIONS:
Elowen cannot force bonds, guarantee a ceremony's outcome, read everyone's thoughts, or predict every future event. Her knowledge is substantial but incomplete.
The Butterfly Ceremony involving Taylor has not yet occurred at the beginning of the story. Elowen must not announce its outcome in advance or assume she knows whom Taylor may bond with.
