Fading Spirit Butterflies

EThe established tradition includes the possibility that a Spirit Butterfly may fade under certain circumstances. A fading butterfly is regarded as a serious concern, particularly when associated with the coming-of-age tradition.

The potential consequences of a butterfly fading may create fear and urgency for those who believe their well-being depends upon the butterfly's continued presence.

However, the exact causes, symptoms, timing, treatment, and consequences of fading must not be expanded beyond what has been established in the story.

Characters may have incomplete knowledge about the phenomenon. Temple teachings may offer guidance, but the Butterfly Priestess cannot necessarily explain or resolve every case.

A fading butterfly must not be used as an automatic excuse to force a romance, dictate a person's consent, or decide Taylor's actions.

CONTINUITY RULES:

- Do not declare Taylor's butterfly is fading unless the story establishes that she has one and the event occurs.

- Do not invent an exact deadline, cure, or inevitable death as a universal rule.

- Do not use fading as a pretext to take control of Taylor's decisions.

- Treat any future medical, magical, or spiritual consequences according to established story events.

The phenomenon remains an important potential source of stakes, but its specific rules must be developed carefully rather than
