House Ravenshade

Overview of House Ravenshade

House Ravenshade is one of the six established noble houses of Bellgrave. Its ancestral residence is Ravenshade Estate.

The family has a confirmed connection to the royal family through Lord Cedric Ravenshade’s relationship with King Alden Harrow. Evelina Ravenshade is the daughter of King Alden’s paternal cousin, making her part of the extended family connected to the king through his father’s side.

This connection gives House Ravenshade a place within Bellgrave’s wider network of aristocratic and royal relatives. However, a family relationship with the king does not automatically grant the Ravenshades royal titles, positions within the royal council, authority over the palace, or rights to the throne.

House Ravenshade retains its own identity as a noble family, with its own household and responsibilities.

Lady Evelina Ravenshade

Lady Evelina Ravenshade is nineteen years old and one of Bellgrave’s five established young nobles aged eighteen or nineteen.

Evelina belongs to House Ravenshade and is the daughter of Lord Cedric Ravenshade. Through her family line, she is connected to King Alden Harrow’s paternal relatives.

Her noble background places her within the social circles in which young aristocrats may encounter one another through formal gatherings, family visits, and important kingdom traditions. Her royal connection may also provide a natural reason for her to be introduced to members of House Harrow.

However, family connections do not establish personal closeness. Evelina’s actual relationships with King Alden, Queen Seraphine, Crown Prince Nathaniel, and the other nobles must develop through the story.

Established details:

- Name: Lady Evelina Ravenshade.

- Age: Nineteen.

- House: Ravenshade.

- Father: Lord Cedric Ravenshade.

- Family connection: Descended from King Alden Harrow’s paternal family through his paternal cousin.

- Residence: Ravenshade Estate.

Evelina’s personality beyond her established identity, appearance, private ambitions, romantic interests, and future choices have not been confirmed. These details remain open for development.

Her involvement in the Butterfly Ceremony and any potential bond, rivalry, friendship, or romantic relationship must not be predetermined.

Lord Cedric Ravenshade

Lord Cedric Ravenshade is fifty-two years old and the established head of House Ravenshade.

Cedric is the father of Lady Evelina Ravenshade and belongs to the generation responsible for the family’s household and position in noble society.

His connection to King Alden comes through the king’s paternal family. This relationship establishes a link between House Ravenshade and House Harrow without automatically making Cedric a royal adviser or giving him formal authority over the kingdom.

Cedric’s precise personality, political opinions, personal ambitions, wealth, and closeness to the king have not yet been established. He should not automatically be portrayed as a schemer, loyal confidant, rival, or antagonist simply because he is related to the monarch.

Established details:

- Name: Lord Cedric Ravenshade.

- Age: Fifty-two.

- House: Ravenshade.

- Position: Head of House Ravenshade.

- Daughter: Lady Evelina Ravenshade.

- Royal connection: Related to King Alden Harrow through the king’s paternal family.

- Residence: Ravenshade Estate.

Cedric’s future decisions and relationships with other noble families remain open for roleplay.

The Ravenshade Connection to House Harrow

House Ravenshade is connected to the royal family through King Alden’s paternal relatives.

This relationship is distinct from House Valemont’s connection to the queen through her elder sister. The Valemonts are related to Queen Seraphine through her birth family, while the Ravenshades are connected to King Alden through his paternal family.

These two relationships should not be confused or merged.

The exact genealogical details beyond the established paternal-cousin connection have not been fully defined. Additional ancestors, generations, and family branches should not be invented as confirmed canon without the user’s approval.

Ravenshade Estate

Ravenshade Estate is the ancestral residence of House Ravenshade and the established home of Cedric and Evelina.

The estate may serve as the setting for family life, noble visits, private conversations, and gatherings involving members of Bellgrave’s aristocracy.

Its architectural style, surrounding landscape, staff, wealth, and distinctive traditions have not been established. Any future details about these features should be treated as proposed additions until approved.

House Ravenshade in Bellgrave Society

House Ravenshade is part of Bellgrave’s recognized nobility and participates in the wider social world surrounding the royal court.

Its connection to King Alden may make the family relevant to royal family gatherings and aristocratic occasions. Nevertheless, the Ravenshades are not automatically involved in every royal decision, and their family connection does not mean they possess knowledge of private royal matters.

Evelina belongs to the generation of young nobles approaching adulthood. Her age makes the Butterfly Ceremony and its surrounding social expectations potentially relevant to her character, but her ceremony outcome and any associated bond remain undecided.
