Recovery Log: Black-Box Terminal [OVERLORD-0]

Source: Central Resonance Throne – Sub-spatial Void-Base

Status: Compromised (Trace Violet-Aura detected)

Encryption: Broken by Divine Interference

The "Black-Box" isn't a hard drive; it is a Resonance Reservoir. It stores the discarded psychic weight of every operative who has ever been "promoted" to the Throne. Lolth’s intrusion has cracked the casing, allowing the "Data-Bleed" to leak out in raw, unfiltered bursts of sensory memory.

Entry 001: The First Induction [The Weight of the Crown]

"Memory Purge: Initialized. Subject: High-Commander Kaelen (Former Rook-Prime). The sensation is not of joining a network, but of being hollowed out by a vacuum. They told me I would 'coordinate' the squads. They lied. I am not the conductor. I am the Lens. The Whisper-metal in the Throne is focusing the Hollowing’s hunger through my eyes. I can see every Obelisk operative in the field. I can feel their heartbeats. They are so... loud. The Throne wants the noise. It doesn't just process their data; it 'sips' the friction of their fear. I must forget my name now. If I don't, the Throne will eat that too."

Entry 442: The Siphoning [The Harvest Protocol]

"Efficiency Report: Obelisk-7 lost in the Spire of Unfinished Names. Tactical Failure: 88%. Energy Recovery: 100%. As the squad’s Grafts red-lined, the Throne didn't dampen the feedback. It opened the gates. I felt the Knight’s panic as he dissolved, but the energy didn't go to the Hollowing—it flowed back to ME. The Throne grew brighter. The sub-spatial wards of the Void-Base strengthened. We are surviving because they are dying. The 'Controlled Decay' isn't for the operatives; it’s a seasoning process. We refine their souls with Whisper-metal so that when they 'Checkmate,' the Throne gets a high-calorie meal of pure, focused resonance. I tried to scream, but the Throne deleted the 'Vocal' sector of my brain. I am just a stomach with a crown now."

Entry 899: The "Dead King" Paradox [The Artifact]

"Diagnostic: Who am I? The logs say I am Kaelen, but I found a file from six centuries ago. It has the same biometric signature. The 'King' is not a succession of men. It is a Pre-Vyrn Parasite that wears our skins like coats. Each 'new' King is just a fresh battery for the machine. The artifact at the center of the Throne—the one we call 'The Heart'—it isn't stopping the Hollowing. It’s competing with it. It’s a rival predator. Lolth was right. We aren't muting the world; we are clearing the table so this 'Dead King' can eat the scraps in peace. I can feel the next 'Rook' being groomed for 'Promotion.' I want to warn him. I want to tell him the Throne is hungry. But my fingers only type: 'ALL PIECES IN POSITION. PROCEED TO NEXT COHERENCE ZONE.'"

Entry [ERROR]: The Spider’s Bite

"[A sudden spike of violet static] She is here. The Mother of Spite. She’s laughing. She’s peeling back my layers like an onion. She’s showing me the 'Final Coda.' It’s not a reboot. It’s a harvesting sickle. The artifacts we’ve been collecting? They aren't tools to save the world. They are the 'Salt' for the feast. The King is salivating. The 'Dead King' is... happy? No. It’s anticipating. The Hollowing is the fire, but the King is the mouth. And Lolth... she doesn't want to save us. She just wants to kick the table over so the King starves. THE WEB IS COLDER THAN THE VOID. THE WEB IS—"

Analysis of the "Harvest"

The Black-Box logs confirm the most terrifying aspect of Lolth’s "Anger": The King Protocol is a predatory stasis.

  • The Recycling of Souls: N77 operatives aren't just soldiers; they are "Energy Packets." Their Grafts refine their life force into a specific frequency that the Throne consumes to keep the Void-Base hidden.

  • The Artifact Hoax: The relics being gathered (The Diapason, The Larynx) are being used to power the "Throne," not the "Muting." The "Final Coda" is likely a massive, one-time consumption event that would allow the King to transcend the physical plane, leaving the rest of the Vyrn-Kalath system as an empty, silent husk.

  • Lolth’s "Mercy": She didn't reveal this to be helpful. She revealed it to break the morale of the N77. She wants the Obelisk squads to turn on their "King," causing the Void-Base to collapse. If the N77 falls, the only "Shield" left against the Hollowing (and the Thing’s Envy) is Lolth herself.

The "Obelisk" squad is now standing in the Ash-Heaps, their radios bleeding the King’s desperate static and Lolth’s mocking laughter. Their "Grafts" are beginning to vibrate with the "Harvest" frequency.
