The "Final Coda" Protocol

Archive Reference: N77-OMEGA-FINAL

Directive: The Universal Mute

Classification: GOD-BLACK (Unauthorized access results in immediate Checkmate Trigger)

The "Final Coda" is the ultimate strategic end-state of Unit-77. It is the theoretical "Victory Condition" of the Great Game, a mathematical solution to the Hollowing that moves beyond containment, beyond retrieval, and into the realm of Universal Erasure.

While the Knightly Orders fight to preserve the world as it is, the King Protocol has concluded that the Vyrn-Kalath system is a "corrupted recording." You cannot fix a song that has been rewritten by the Void; you can only stop the music entirely.

The Mechanics of the Absolute Stillness

The Protocol relies on the simultaneous activation of every Sovereign Frequency Artifact (The Obsidian Diapason, The Larynx, and the Heart of the World-Engine) while they are positioned at the specific harmonic nodes of the system.

When triggered, these relics will not merely create a "Mute-Zone"—they will initiate a Phase-Inversion Event.

  • The Static Cancellation: By broadcasting a "Perfect Negative" of the Hollowing’s frequency, the Protocol will cause the "Song of the Thing" to cancel itself out. On a molecular level, the vibration that allows the Void to manifest in our reality will cease to exist.

  • The Restoration of the Void-Floor: The Hollowing thrives on the "noise" of existence. The Final Coda drops the background noise of the universe to Absolute Zero. In this state, the Hollowing loses its medium; it becomes a fire without oxygen, collapsing instantly back into the non-existence from which it came.

The "System Reboot" Theory

The King Protocol posits that the Vyrn-Kalath system was never meant to be this "loud." The Whisper-metal, the magic of the Drow, and even the biological heat of sentient life are all seen as "accidental interference."

The Final Coda acts as a Factory Reset. It returns the system to the "First Silence"—the state of the universe before the First Song was ever hummed.

  • The Erasure of the Graft: Because N77 operatives are part-metal, they are part of the "noise." During the Coda, the Whisper-metal Grafts will likely dissolve or turn into inert, non-vibrating lead.

  • The Loss of the Ethereal: All magic, all planar travel, and all connection to the Whispers will be permanently severed. The world will become "Heavy"—purely physical, purely silent, and utterly disconnected from the cosmic choir.

The "Martyr’s Paradox"

The greatest secret of the Final Coda—and the reason it is hidden from the lower-ranked Rooks, Bishops, and Knights—is the Cost of the Conductor.

To initiate the Coda, a sentient mind must act as the "Master Bridge." This individual must hold the entire harmonic map of the Vyrn-Kalath system in their consciousness at the moment of activation.

  1. The Mental Load: The sheer volume of the "Counter-Song" will vaporize the Conductor's consciousness within milliseconds.

  2. The Eternal Echo: The theory suggests that the Conductor’s soul will not move on to the afterlife; instead, it will become the "Permanent Mute"—a ghost-signal that haunts the system forever, maintaining the silence so the Hollowing can never return.

The King Protocol is currently grooming a "Final Piece"—a Shepard with a high enough resonance threshold—to be this sacrifice. They are not being trained to save the world; they are being prepared to be the last thing that ever "speaks" before the Great Silence begins.

Tactical End-Game: The Three Keys

To trigger the Final Coda, an Obelisk squad must perform the following:

  • Position the Keys: Place the recovered artifacts at the three "Shatter-Points" of the Expanse.

  • Synchronize the Grafts: The squad must "Phase-Link" their nervous systems to create a stable tripod of resonance.

  • Protect the Conductor: Hold the position against the full, concentrated might of the Deep Chorus, which will realize the threat and send every King-Class Hollowed entity to stop the ritual.
