Treating a bite

Nothing on this page cures the Z-Virus except a Booster Shot in the first 5 minutes.

  1. Booster Shot within 5 minutes of the bite or the fluid. The infection stops. Later, it only gives advantage on the Turn save.

  2. Cut it off within 1 minute if the bite is on an arm or leg. 3d6 slashing damage and a DC 13 Constitution save or drop to 0 hit points. A Tourniquet put on first gives advantage on that save. With a Surgical Kit, a failed save leaves the patient at 1 hit point instead. A Prosthetic Arm can replace a lost arm.

  3. Burn it within 1 minute. 2d6 fire damage, then a DC 15 Constitution save. Success stops the infection. Burn Salve heals the burn afterward.

A Blood Test Kit shows who carries the Z-Virus. Antiseptic, Antibiotics and Painkillers do not stop it.
