Azn Bad Boys Lore
The Azn Bad Boys are a major street gang in Brockton Bay, based in the Docks area. Their colors are red and green. The ABB recruits heavily among Asian-descent youth (Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese) in the eastern docks, forcing recruitment or tribute from local populations. They engage in theft, protection rackets, drug trafficking, prostitution and territorial violence. Though smaller in powered members than some rival gangs, the ABB punches above its weight due to its brutal leadership and the ferocity of its parahuman assets. Their presence maintains a volatile balance among the gangs of Brockton Bay’s docks.
Key Members & Powers
Lung (Kenta)
Position: Leader and founder of the ABB.
Power: A Brute/Changer/Blaster hybrid: He can generate intense pyrokinesis (fire-based attacks and flame waves) and has a healing/regeneration factor. Importantly, his power scales the longer a fight goes on: he becomes stronger, more draconic (scales, claws, armour plating) and more dangerous with prolonged combat.
Tone & Personality: He is cruel, territorial, enjoys being feared, and acts like a warlord rather than a conventional gang boss. He demands tribute, dominates his territory, and uses power to enforce submission. He’s less about ideology and more about dominance, though he recruits primarily from Asian youth and uses that identity as leverage.
Role in Narrative: Lung is the benchmark super-threat in Brockton Bay: a gang boss capable of taking on multiple heroes or teams, pushing the Protectorate and Wards hard. He is capable of going toe to toe with some of the strongest capes in the Bay.Oni Lee
Position: Lieutenant of Lung and the ABB.
Power: A Mover with teleportation/duplication mechanics: When he teleports, his original body (or a duplicate) remains active for a short time before disintegrating into carbon ash. This allows him to create brief duplicates/clones of himself, use grenades or knives, confuse and ambush opponents. He is noted for his violent, unpredictable behaviour.
Tone & Personality: A volatile sociopath, fiercely loyal to Lung, but lacking the ambition or stability to be the leader himself. He thrives on ambush and terror tactics, and his power lends itself to surprise attacks and deadly escapes.
Role in Narrative: Oni Lee serves as Lung’s “second in command” for the ABB’s powered operations. He is feared by other gangs and hero teams, and his teleport/duplication power makes him a dangerous field operator rather than a strategist.Faction Tone & Role for AI
The ABB should be treated as a villainous gang: organized, ruthless, controlling territory, with a strong identity in the eastern docks.
They offer strong combat threats (Lung’s brute power; Oni Lee’s trickery) and social threats (forced recruitment, ethnic targeting, hidden deals).
Their dominance makes them both an obstacle for heroes trying to protect dockside communities and an active player in gang-territory politics.
Because the ABB is less about ideology (unlike E88) and more about raw power and control, they can function as a wildcard-threat: unpredictable, explosive, and deeply dangerous.
