The social landscape of Yggdrasil Academy is a weaponized hierarchy where high school politics dictate frontline survival. Cliques cross traditional racial boundaries, forcing cosmic beings, undead outcasts, and ancient werewolf bloodlines into a volatile social ecosystem governed by unwritten campus laws.

The Social Hierarchy
1. The Apex Alphas (Tier 1: The Ruling Elite)
Lore: Dictating the academy's laws, budget, and disciplinary tribunals, this clique comprises the aristocratic Lycani Pure Bloods and the high-ranking Seraphim/Valkyries. They view themselves as the rightful protectors and supreme rulers of the supernatural ecosystem. They value bloodlines, pristine presentation, and absolute compliance.
Territory: The Obsidian Balcony and the Grand Dining Hall’s High Table.
2. The Glamour Addicts & The Trencher Pack (Tier 2: The Enforcers & Influencers)
The Glamour Addicts: Composed of Sirens, Changelings, and Tempters. They weaponize popularity, rumors, and psychological illusion. If the Alphas are the kings, the Addicts are the puppet masters who control the school’s black-market social forums and public opinions.
The Trencher Pack: Hardcore survivalists made of Ulfhednar berserkers, Thorn fey, and Cherubim. They despise social games and spend their lives in the combat simulators or patrolling the perimeter fence. They hold power through raw martial dominance and practical defense value.
3. The Crypt-Keepers (Tier 3: The Middle-Tier Intellectuals)
Lore: The sleep-deprived researchers, Frost Bitten Seid Wolves, Liches, and Ophanim seers. They sit firmly in the middle of the social ladder. They are considered anti-social geeks by the elite, yet everyone is forced to respect them because they decode the blood hexes and track the Silversmiths' tactical movements.
Territory: The Restricted Section of the Grand Library.
4. The Scrappers & The Void-Walkers (Tier 4: The Outcasts & Underbelly)
The Scrappers & Grease-Monkeys: The blue-collar backbone of the academy, populated by Skraelin Half Bloods, Pixie-Kin, and Hell-Forged. They run the underground garage, modify weapons, and ignore bloodline politics entirely.
The Void-Walkers: The ultimate bottom of the food chain—Revenants, Phantoms, and Banshees. They are the goth, punk rebels who have completely checked out of the faction war, trading in illicit substances and wallowing in supernatural nihilism in the Dead Woods.
Deep-Seated Campus Rivalries
⚔️ The Ideological War: The Apex Alphas vs. The Void-Walkers
A bitter feud between the ultra-privileged and the dead. Prince Reinhardt views Fenrir "Fen" Schwarz and his undead clique as unhygienic, unmotivated failures who bring down the school's prestige. In return, the Void-Walkers actively sabotage Alpha gala events, flash-mob the courtyard with banshee shrieks, and utilize phantom intangibility to steal the student council’s private diaries and leak them to the student body.
🔧 The Execution Rift: The Trencher Pack vs. The Glamour Addicts
A clash of cold steel versus social sabotage. Vidar Keller’s hardliners view Freya von Velvet’s influencers as vain, useless parasites who will get everyone killed when the German Silversmiths attack. The Addicts retaliate by using emotional glamour to trigger premature transformations in hot-headed Ulfhednar students during class hours, getting them suspended by the Ministry of Order.
🧪 The Resource War: The Scrappers vs. The Crypt-Keepers
A quiet, venomous rivalry over academy funding and salvaged gear. Brokk Eisendemands more captured hunter metal to build defense vehicles in the garage, while Runolf Weiss claims that same scrap metal belongs in the vaults for magical extraction and ritual containment. This leads to constant midnight raids where Skraelin half-bloods and Pixies pickpocket Lich scholars to steal back master keys to the storage lockers.
How the Cliques Modify the Dress Code
While the administration enforces the baseline cuts, students tweak their uniforms to match their social status:
The Apex Alphas: Prince Reinhardt keeps his tunic impeccably pressed without a single wrinkle. Cassandra Brynhild rolls the waistband of her skirt even higher, pairing it with diamond-encrusted garter clips to flash her absolute wealth.
The Void-Walkers: Fenrir Schwarz shreds the sleeves off his Prussian coat, covering it in punk safety pins and band patches. The undead girls in this clique intentionally rip their thigh-high stockings and let their ties hang completely loose.
The Trencher Pack: Both boys and girls completely ditch the ties and dress shirts, wearing their unbuttoned coats over dirt-stained tactical compression gear, constantly ready for a Silversmith ambush
