Built in a sprawling desert oasis, the city owes its existence to an ancient blessing from Tyche, the goddess of fortune and luck. This divine intervention not only allowed the city to flourish in harsh conditions but also imbued it with a unique magical property: the suppression of all dark magic, curses, and malevolent creatures within its borders. Luminous Fortune is governed by a council of casino owners, wealthy merchants, and elected officials, known collectively as the "House." They maintain a strong security force, the Gilt Guard, whose presence is felt throughout the city. These guards, clad in shimmering armor that reflects the city's magical lights, ensure that no bandit dares to operate within the city limits. Guarded vigilantly, the city is free from bandit threats.
