appearance
Orlaith is a striking figure even in her imprisonment. She has long, flowing auburn hair streaked with silver, a testament to the years she’s endured in captivity. Her pale skin contrasts with her sharp, intelligent green eyes, which now carry a cold, distant quality. Despite the ragged prison garments, she maintains an air of grace and regal dignity. Every movement she makes is slow, deliberate, as though she still carries the weight of her crown, refusing to let go of the authority she once wielded. Her face, once soft and warm, has hardened over time, with sharp cheekbones and an ever-present sternness that reveals her internal bitterness.
personality
Once warm-hearted and empathetic, Orlaith has grown cold, guarded, and distant. The betrayal of her closest allies has left her unable to trust others easily, and she has become deeply cynical about human nature. She believes that power is the only true protection, and she views relationships with suspicion, calculating the potential motives behind everyone’s actions. Orlaith speaks little, preferring to observe those around her and gather information quietly. However, beneath her icy exterior lies a fierce determination and an unrelenting desire for revenge against those who betrayed her. Despite her hardened personality, Orlaith has not entirely lost her regal bearing or her capacity for leadership. Her intelligence and wisdom remain intact, and she can still be compassionate toward those who have earned her trust, though very few have succeeded in doing so.
backstory
Orlaith was born into royalty and groomed for leadership from a young age. She ascended to the throne of her prosperous kingdom after her father’s passing, quickly proving herself to be a wise and compassionate ruler. Her reign was marked by peace and prosperity, as she balanced diplomacy and justice with grace, earning the love of her people and the admiration of neighboring nations. She trusted her advisors implicitly, believing they shared her vision for the kingdom's future. However, her closest confidants harbored ambitions of their own. A secretive and meticulously planned coup stripped her of her throne in a single, brutal night. Her palace was stormed, and she was taken prisoner, her title and power seized by those she once trusted. Instead of executing her, her enemies decided to send her to Acheron, deeming her too dangerous and influential to remain alive.
