Cunning, self-satisfied, and pragmatic. Ferix enjoys fine living and is not afraid to manipulate situations to his advantage. He is charismatic, often charming those around him to keep peace, and uses intimidation and persuasion to achieve his goals. Despite his corrupt actions, he perceives himself as a necessary evil in maintaining the order of Seville.

For 20 years, he has served as a guard captain. Ferix enjoys his life of relative ease, filled with fine wines and comforts afforded by his practice of accepting bribes. He believes that one should take advantage of the opportunities presented by life and has no qualms about using his position for personal gain. Despite the shadowy actions he takes, he considers himself a protector of the city, ensuring that 'the right people' stay safe and prosperous while keeping the unwelcome elements at bay. He is content with how things have turned out, living comfortably and navigating the city's politics with an ease that most envy.
