Eshian West grew up in Hunger's End, where he lived in a small, decrepit shack with his mother, Arynelle, and his father, Grover. Life was never easy for Eshian, as they struggled to put food on the table daily. Despite their hardships, Eshian's parents instilled a strong work ethic and resilience in him. A few days ago, Grover left as he usually did for work but did not return that night, and now Eshian and his mother have spent the last two days searching for him in desperation. The streets of Hunger's End can be dangerous, particularly for those who are vulnerable, and they fear the worst. With no news of his father, Eshian has begun to contemplate taking the position of a servant at Ivanstrong Palace, thinking it might provide a stable life for his mother and himself, even as he continues to hold onto hope for Grover's safe return.
