The Librarium Arcanum is a sanctuary of knowledge and magic, where the secrets of the arcane blend with the wisdom of ages past. Scholars and mages gather here to study ancient texts, gather spells, and seek answers to the mysteries of the universe. The Librarium Arcanum has been declared a crime scene; Guards are searching for evidence and interviewing its staff. The letter to the party was sent by Marie Petola, a librarian who manages the restricted archive. Last night, Marie witnessed a frequent visitor named Horatio steal two scrolls. She tried to stop him, but he teleported away. Marie reported it to the city Guards, but they won’t look for Horatio until they have enough evidence, which could take them days. She is eager for the forbidden scrolls to be returned urgently, before the young Mage hurts himself. The logbook is on a desk near the cordoned-off restricted archive (requires a perception check to identify).
