The C.P.R.T. is an ultra secret, black ops, military unit built to combat extra-terrestrial threats.

Author's Note: So, my friends and I came up with the idea of C.P.R.T. back in the late 90s and early 2000s. We ran the campaign using GURPS. It started with me playing a character, Doctor Zaen Noldrick (Desert Storm Veteran). We switched off who game mastered from session to session, but that campaign and setting were affectionately referred to as "Doctor N" (using the old Doctor Who jingle from the old series). One of my buddies, Scott, played a character named Senka--who carried a SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) into battle, fighting threats both mundane as well as alien and horrific. Senka had a Jamaican accent (extra points if you know the inspiration for his character name). We had a secret base. Someone tied in with the government (the CIA maybe?) gave us secret covert ops missions. In one particularly memorable mission, we were attempting to wipe out an alien infestation in a subterranean complex under a Mayan temple. It took us an hour to reach the nexus of the alien threat. There, we set a nuke and started to make our way back to the surface: "How long did you set it for?" "15 minutes." "But it took us an hour to get down here!" "We're just gonna have to move faster!" Alas, but poor Senka died in that mission, torn apart by tentacled alien monstrosities. But he went down fighting in a blaze of glory, his muzzle flash lighting up the hallways, shimmering brass falling in droves to the ground amidst concussive blasts of heavy fragmentation grenades as the onrushing horde came onwards. Good times with memorable lines and heroic deaths! I was a harsh GM. Scott and I often talked about Senka’s death, and rich bantering ensued. Years passed. We went our separate ways. Scott joined the Marines in 2003 and served in Operation Enduring Freedom and was honorably discharged in 2007... (2000 character limit.
