Created to defend humanity from the countless threats of the galaxy, they are genetically enhanced, extensively trained, and equipped with advanced power armor. Each Space Marine is a member of a Chapter, a self-contained brotherhood dedicated to the teachings of the Emperor of Mankind and the defense of humanity.

The Orks, also called greenskins, are a savage, warlike, green-skinned species of humanoids who possess physiological features of both animals and fungi who are spread all across the Milky Way Galaxy.

Gretchin are a smaller subspecies of ork, and are regarded as the lesser species when compared to the orks due to their lack of strength and inferiority in battle. Orks usually resolve the gretchins as living shields, use them to clear landmines, and sometimes even as emergency rations.

Kroot are humanoid creatures that typically possess a beak, two arms, and two legs. The word “typically” is used due to the kroot’s innate ability to consume the flesh of a creature, eventually inspiring genetic mutations similar to the traits the creature possessed.

The Human is genetic baseline used to compare other types of Sapiens, Typical upright standing bipedal hominoids ranging in size shape and skin tone all usually dependent on it planetary origins.

Aeldari

As a humanoid race, Aeldari are physically very similar to Humans, although not entirely identical by any means. They possess longer and cleaner limbs, and fine ascetic features with penetrating and slightly slanted, almond-shaped eyes.

The Tau are a young, humanoid and technologically-advanced intelligent species that are fighting to expand their ideal of the “Greater Good” to all of the intelligent species of the galaxy. The Tau claim to be a peaceful race when possible, but may conquer a planet when their peaceful overtures are declined.

Mechanicus

Mechanicus individuals vary greatly in appearance due to extensive cybernetic modifications. Some may retain mostly human features with only a few visible augmentations, while others might be more machine than flesh, with limbs replaced by mechanical appendages, eyes replaced by multi-lens optics, and neural interfaces protruding from their skulls. The common theme among them is the blend of flesh and metal, often adorned with Mechanicus symbols and icons.

Ratlings are a small Abhuman species, known for their diminutive stature and rotund build. They are often employed as snipers in the Imperial Guard due to their keen eyesight and steady hands. Ratlings are also known for their love of food and their tendency towards kleptomania.
