Cartomancer
Origins:
@Cartomancer are navigators who blend arcane magic with star charts and maps. Their tradition was born in the @Veilward Isles , where maps would not stay still unless bound by spells. They learned to etch living ink that remembered routes, making them indispensable to fleets.
Philosophy:
They believe the sea itself forgets, and their duty is to remind it. Memory, ink, and chart are sacred to them. To a @Cartomancer , every map is alive.
Training:
Apprentices learn at the @The Spiraled Wake Archives and @Confluence Hall , inscribing maps with living ink and starmarks. They must create their own map of a voyage, one that whispers when touched.
Role in @Aethertide :
They guide fleets through shifting seas, fogs, and curses. Without them, many fleets would vanish in the @The Veil of Shifting Mists .
Signature Traits:
Living maps and memory-scrolls.
Divining truths through compasses and charts.
Anchoring islands in place with ink-rites.
Recalling voyages through magical cartography.

Aderyn Quillwake: Vanished into the @The Gyre of Lost Souls , but their map still draws itself.

Cultural Perception:
To the @Free Keys Confederacy , they are vital but mistrusted.
To the @Veythane Empire , they are prized and tightly controlled.
