Wraith Binder

Origins:
When ships sink, not all souls go quietly. @Wraith Binder are those who learned to tether these drowned spirits, binding them to hulls, anchors, and even weapons. Their art was once forbidden, but in the @Free Keys Confederacy and @Grimwave Point , it thrives.

Philosophy:
@Wraith Binder see death not as an end but as a tide to command. Their whispers bind the restless dead, turning them into crew, weapons, and shields. They are keepers of memory as much as necromancers, believing every drowned sailor deserves a voice—even if it must be bound.

Training:
Apprentices are taught by binding their first wraith, often the spirit of a sailor who died nearby. They carve runes into driftwood or bone to anchor the soul. Many @Wraith Binder wear tokens of their bound dead—shark teeth, jawbones, or shards of hull.

Role in @Aethertide :
Feared necromancers of the sea, @Wraith Binder often command ghostly crews. Some serve pirate lords, others keep to themselves, ferrying the drowned across eternal waters. In battles, they summon skeletal rowers, spectral harpooners, and phantom cannons.
