🏰 Keeps & Castles of the Ironhold Compact

1. Khazdurim Peakhold

The greatest mountain fortress of the Compact, carved directly into the sheer face of a titanic range. Khazdurim Peakhold sits atop the richest veins of iron, mithral, and rune-stone in the realm. Its gates are sealed with layered runic locks, and entire legions could vanish within its depths without ever seeing the same hall twice.

Primary Role: Mining command, ancestral vaults, and defense against underdark incursions.

2. Stoneward Bastion

A massive lowland fortress guarding the primary caravan route out of Ironhold territory. Stoneward Bastion functions as both military keep and customs hall, where all exports are measured, taxed, and sealed with the Compact’s mark.

🏙 Towns & Cities

1. Anvilreach

The largest city of the Ironhold Compact and its political heart. Anvilreach is a sprawling stone city of tiered forges, guild halls, and council chambers where each hold sends its delegates. The constant ringing of hammers is said to be audible miles away.

2. Deepforge

A heavily fortified mining city nestled in the lower slopes beneath Khazdurim Peakhold. Deepforge houses miners, engineers, and rune-smiths who refine raw ore before it is sent to Anvilreach or exported abroad.

3. Barrowsteel

A grim, practical trade city built along a canyon road. Barrowsteel specializes in finished arms, armor, and siege components, and is where most foreign merchants are permitted to trade—under watchful eyes.
