Verdant Tide Circles Characters

Starter Player Character — Verdant Tide Circles

Name: Liora Tidebloom

Race: Firbolg

Class (Suggested): Druid (Circle of the Land—Coast or Swamp) or Ranger (Swarmkeeper)

Faction: Verdant Tide Circles

Appearance:

Liora stands tall and broad-shouldered, her blue-gray skin marked with faint algae-like patterns. Sea-glass beads and woven kelp adorn her braided hair, and her cloak smells faintly of salt and rain-soaked leaves. Small crabs and shore-birds seem unafraid in her presence.

Backstory:

Born where mangrove roots meet tidal shallows, Liora was raised by a coastal circle that guards the living boundary between land and sea. She learned early that balance is not peace—it is constant vigilance. When Gilded League fleets began stripping the reefs and marshes for profit, Liora was chosen as an emissary and warden. She now walks beyond the Circles’ groves, protecting sacred wetlands, disrupting exploitation, and reminding the world that the tide always returns.

Important Characters of the Verdant Tide Circles

1. High Tidemother Naeluun

Race: Elf (Sea Elf)

Class/Role: Archdruid (Circle of the Moon)

Faction Role: Speaker of the Verdant Conclave

Appearance & Backstory:

Naeluun’s skin bears coral-toned hues, and her eyes glow softly like moonlight on water. She leads the Verdant Tide Circles through shapeshifting rites and seasonal moots. Once a wandering sea-warden, she united fractured coastal circles after witnessing a leviathan slain by overfishing. She now enforces the Circles’ will with calm authority and tidal inevitability.

2. Rootwarden Borrek Mossvein

Race: Firbolg

Class/Role: Druid (Circle of Spores)

Faction Role: Guardian of the Black Mangroves

Appearance & Backstory:

Broad and heavy-set, Borrek’s skin is mottled with moss and fungal growth, and his staff is grown, not carved. He tends the swamp-dead—ensuring rot feeds life rather than corruption. Borrek opposes necromancy and industrial expansion alike, believing decay must remain natural. He is fiercely hostile toward Ashen Dominion incursions into wetland forests.

3. Shellbinder Karess

Race: Tortle

Class/Role: Ranger (Hunter)

Faction Role: Coastal Sentinel

Appearance & Backstory:

Karess wears weathered armor pieced from shell and driftwood, barnacles clinging stubbornly to his back. He patrols shorelines and estuaries, tracking smugglers and poachers. Once a solitary wanderer, Karess pledged himself to the Verdant Tide Circles after witnessing a sacred reef dynamited by Gilded League agents.

4. Mist-Seer Aelthwyn

Race: Elf (Wood Elf)

Class/Role: Druid (Circle of Stars)

Faction Role: Tide Oracle

Appearance & Backstory:

Aelthwyn’s pale robes shimmer with constellations mirrored in tidal pools. She reads fate through moon reflections on water and predicts storms, invasions, and omens. Her visions have repeatedly warned of lunar disruption caused by shadow magic, placing her at ideological odds with the Umbra Dominion and wary observation of the Lunarch Ascendancy.

5. Thornwave Jex

Race: Human

Class/Role: Barbarian (Path of the Beast)

Faction Role: Circle Enforcer

Appearance & Backstory:

Jex is scarred and sun-darkened, with ritual tattoos depicting crashing waves and barbed vines. During battle, primal magic twists his form with aquatic and bestial traits. Once a dockside laborer whose home was swallowed by rising tides caused by reckless dredging, Jex was taken in by the Circles and taught to channel fury in defense of balance.
