After his master was executed in the Flay Kiln for being ideologically impure and "lazy", Shirak inherited his master’s weapon and refused the title of Ascended Judge, calling it 'a lie coated in favor credits.' Instead, he took his master’s execution post in Breakspire, punishing others so none would suffer his fate. But inside, he watches the same system that murdered his mentor—and plots.
