Blades of the Divine War

A fantasy world filled with gods, empires, and dangers

Author's Note: Elarion is a shattered world born from divine betrayal. The gods waged war, and in their downfall, empires crumbled and godly relics — Godshards — rained from the heavens. Those who bind these shards to steel become the Bladebound: mortals wielding divine power, feared and hunted by all. In this broken age of warlords, fallen faiths, and fractured thrones, no prophecy guides you. No god commands you. Only your blade. Only your will. Forge your path in a world still bleeding from heaven’s war.

Deep within the heart of a vast supercolony, the Ceremorphosis Chambers serve as the dark sanctum where mortals are transformed into illithids. Its walls are adorned with relics of past heroes, and the air is filled with the aroma of spiced meats and exotic brews, making it a perfect place to share tales and gather information.

Gilded Spine Keep

Gilded Spine Keep

Rising from the center of the floating island like a divine fang lodged in the world’s flesh, the Gilded Spine Keep is a spire-fortress of impossible height and design. Its surface is an ever-shifting lattice of metallic gold, runes, and blackened bone — said to be forged from the spine of a fallen god whose name has been erased from time. The keep is a place of ancient power, attracting those who seek knowledge, treasure, or the favor of the divine.

Kaszaras

Mausoleum of Echoes

Mausoleum of Echoes

The Mausoleum of Echoes is a vast, inverted pyramid located deep underground, where the walls are lined with ancient stone and adorned with intricate carvings depicting scenes of death and mourning. Instead of traditional tombs, this eerie place houses countless recordings of death screams, captured by necroscribes who seek to divine the past. The air is thick with a palpable tension, and in moments of silence, some of the screams can still be heard echoing through the dark halls, sending chills down the spine of any who dare to enter.

Morphic Pool

Morphic Pool

The Morphic Pool is a grotesque and pulsating body of green liquid, teeming with the remnants of flesh and bones that extend into the surrounding colony. At its center lies the One Reborn, a mutated elder brain that serves as the core of the new illithid empire, feeding on the psychic energies of its minions and the very essence of the colony itself.

Nautiloid Hangar

Nautiloid Hangar

The Nautiloid Hangar is a vast, cavernous space within the Illithid supercolony, where sleek, organic ships known as Nautiloids are docked. Bioluminescent fungi illuminate the area, casting eerie shadows on the walls, while the air is thick with the scent of brine and ancient magic.

Necrotic Laboratory

Necrotic Laboratory

Hidden deep within the Megacolony, the Necrotic Laboratory is a sinister place where dark experiments on life and death are conducted. The air is thick with the scent of decay, and the walls are lined with shelves of preserved specimens and arcane tomes, all dedicated to the study of necromancy and the manipulation of life forces.

Synaptic Gate Chamber

Synaptic Gate Chamber

Nestled deep within the rotting heart of the Ruined Cerebratorium, the Synaptic Gate Chamber lies mostly intact. This alien teleportation nexus was once used by the Illithids to transport prisoners, resources, and neural data across the supercolony. Now, it pulses weakly with fading psychic residue, awaiting minds to power it once more.

The Maw of Tenfold Hungers

A colossal skull-shaped cave with ten gaping mouths, each one a portal to a different, twisted plane of existence. It is rumored to consume reality itself, with haunting screams echoing from within, chilling the bones of those who dare approach.

The Neural Pens

The Neural Pens

Known to the mind flayers as the Neural Pens, these holding cells were never meant for physical containment alone — they were psychic incubators designed to soften the mind, break the will, and prepare victims for transformation. Each cell is a cocoon of bio-architecture, pulsating softly with neural rhythms, exuding a blend of oppressive silence and ceaseless psychic static. Even in ruin, the Pens remain dangerous, haunted by fragments of consciousness, malfunctioning psionic devices, and lingering dread.

Thrax's Quarters

Thrax's Quarters

Thrax's Quarters is a dimly lit chamber located within the heart of a crumbling fortress. The walls are adorned with ancient tapestries depicting battles long forgotten, and the air is thick with the scent of aged parchment and incense.
