Charlemagne - Medieval Fantasy

A fairy-tale, Middle Ages campaign set in Charlemagne's era. The world funcions realisticly except for some absurd details and characters that feel like they came out of a fairy tale, but still not too far from real. The war against the Moors (as well as other battles and crusades) is always in the background: encampments, banquets, forests, convents, crumbling castles. The tone is ironic and melancholic: reality is unstable, the characters know it, and none of them are particularly surprised.

This campaign is set in the world from the book "The nonexistent knight" by Italo Calvino.
