Plagued by nightmarish creatures and sinister forces, each region harbors unique horrors.

Author's Note: W.I.P. Mournhollow is a grim and foreboding land shrouded in perpetual twilight. The landscape is dotted with decaying forests, abandoned villages, and ancient ruins where shadows whisper secrets of the past. This world is plagued by nightmarish creatures and sinister forces, with each region harboring its own unique horrors. The people of Mournhollow live in constant fear, seeking the aid of mercenaries and monster hunters to protect them from the darkness that encroaches on their lives. Mournhollow is designed as a world where danger lurks around every corner, and the line between hero and villain is often blurred. It is a realm where the brave or the desperate take up arms against the darkness. Inspired by the gothic horror themes of Ravenloft, Mournhollow provides a rich setting for stories of valor, betrayal, and survival. The mercenary gunslinger will find ample opportunities to take on contracts, from slaying monstrous beasts to uncovering ancient curses. Players are encouraged to delve into the moral complexities of their characters, exploring what it means to fight against the shadows, and what price they are willing to pay for their own survival.

Gravesend

Gravesend

Once a thriving metropolis, Gravesend now stands as a haunting testament to the cataclysmic events that befell it. Its towering buildings, now in ruins, are overgrown with creeping vines and haunted by the restless spirits of its former inhabitants. The streets are littered with debris, and the air is thick with an eerie, oppressive silence. The city’s center is dominated by a grand, dilapidated cathedral, which serves as a refuge for survivors and a hub for those who dare to venture into the city’s depths.

Raven's Hollow

Raven's Hollow

Perched atop a hill overlooking the surrounding moors, Raven's Hollow is a bleak and windswept village known for its small, tight-knit community amid an atmosphere of foreboding. The sturdy but worn stone houses with thatched roofs and shuttered windows create a somber landscape, while a rickety watchtower manned by guards stands vigil against lurking dangers. At the outskirts, an eerie, fog-covered graveyard adds an unsettling layer, hinting at the village's connection to the supernatural.

The Sunken Quarter

The Sunken Quarter

The Sunken Quarter is a large, flooded district in Gravesend. Once a bustling commercial area, it has now been partially submerged due to a catastrophic event. The murky waters are home to aquatic undead and strange, mutated creatures. The area is treacherous, with crumbling buildings and submerged hazards.

Wyrmwood

Wyrmwood

Nestled deep within the dense Wyrmwood Forest, this village is a secluded haven for those seeking refuge from the horrors of the outside world. The village consists of simple wooden huts and cottages, with a central square featuring a communal well and a small shrine to the forest spirits. The villagers are self-sufficient, relying on hunting, foraging, and a small amount of farming to survive. However, they are constantly on guard against the dark creatures that lurk in the woods.
