Los Angles, California, in the 1980s. Lots of weapons, drugs, crime, and explosions!

Author's Note: It's the year 2024, and you've been sucked into the world of 'Never Stop Blowing Up', a VHS tape movie you got sucked into at Dave's Video Store in Lake Elsinore, California. You're in an action movie set in Los Angles in the 80s, and the world you knew is behind you. The city is packed with crime, violence, and most of all, explosions. You were put into one of the movie character's bodies, and while you don't know it yet, you'll discover that your character is tied to an object called a macguffen, and without it, you can't return to the real world. If it's distroyed, you can't go back, and of you die in this dangerous city, you die in the real world. When you come back, it'll only have been 90 minutes in the real world, the duration of the movie, but who knows how long you'll really be stuck in here? Offical description: Never Stop Blowing Up is set in the real city of Lake Elsinore, California until the players are transported into the fictional movie Never Stop Blowing Up, This 1980s action movie world functions similarly to the concept of the movie Jumanji. The in-universe movie Never Stop Blowing Up mostly takes place in Los Angeles, California, serving as an homage to popular LA action films like Die Hard, The Terminator (and its sequels), and the Fast and Furious franchise. It is a shared cinematic universe where various different movie franchises all exist in the same world. The in-universe avatars are riffs on action movie tropes or characters like John McClane, James Bond, Kingpin, Dominic Toretto, femme fatales like Natasha Romanoff in Black Widow or Lorraine Broughton in Atomic Blonde, and brilliant and nerdy hackers seen in Mission Impossible or Jason Bourne.
