Body Configurations
Limbs
Dragons, like all animals on this planet, have six limbs. The extra set is usually wings, but they are occasionally front legs as well. Their limbs can go from six to zero. Since there are so many different configurations of limbs, dragons can look wildly different.
Here are the following limb configurations: no limbs, 2 arms, 4 arms, 4 arms 2 legs, 2 arms 2 legs, 2 wings, 4 wings, 6 wings, 2 legs 2 wings, 2 legs 4 wings, 2 arms 2 wings 2 legs,
Wyverns
Wyverns are @Wyvern and @Double Winged Wyvern . They have two legs and up to four wings. These dragons walks on their wings and legs, and often jump to take off. That means they have strong legs that allow them to leap up high enough to get decent flaps in, in order to take off. Their tails are often long and used for whipping or basic grabbing.
@Wyvern only has two wings and two legs. They are the most common Wyvern.
@Double Winged Wyvern is less common than the regular Wyvern. It has four wings and two legs. Those extra wings often help fly in high gravity zones like valleys and canyons. They often walk with their bottom wings, and tuck the top ones.
Wyrms and Serpents
@Wyrm and @Serpent are both dragons with long, snake-like bodies. While a Wyrm has legs, a Serpent does not. Some serpents, like @Winged Serpent , have wings, but never legs. Some wyrms, like the @Winged Wyrm , do have at a single set of wings.
Classic Dragons
@Classic Dragon have six limbs all together. Two wings, two arms, and two legs. They are a very common build for most species.
Body Length
Many dragons come in one of two lengths. The usual, short body, and the serpentine, long body. These bodies can be Slim, Chunky, or Balanced. There are many different ways a body can look.
Slim Bodies
Slim bodies are thin and long, often having longer necks, bodies, and/or tails. They tend to be made for flying, as they are more fragile than other body types. These types are more common at higher altitudes.
Balanced Bodies
Balanced bodies are not too Slim, and too Chunky either. They are great for flight and fight— not too fragile and not too heavy. These body types are very common.
Chunky Bodies
Chunky bodies are thick and muscular. They have a lot of weight to them in muscle and sometimes fat— making it hard to fly, but easy to fight and withstand higher gravity.
