Ethereal Gods
Ethereal gods are the two spirit portals that live on the planet. They go by the titles Life and Death. Life guides spirits into bodies, while Death guides spirits to the afterlife. Because of these roles, Life is more obscure, while Death is more popular. Both have their own way of influencing life.
Life
Life is an ethereal god that is not mentioned in many texts. The texts she is seen in often talk about a great battle, when a soul enters the body, or the importance of other lifeforms. She many not have many books and scrolls, but she has the most well preserved history between all of the gods.
Life is depicted as a massive serpent that comes down from bright, sunny skies. She often has up to six wings, but is never fully seen. Her colours are always some variation of white, pink, and light blue. Another common trait in her depictions are feathers. Life has only ever been seen through visions and dreams. Those who have seen her, report that she feels like a kind being.
DEATH
Death is the second ethereal god, his old nickname being Dark Jaw. This was due to his blackened jaw from the magic sickness. His appearance in ancient and religious texts is the most common of all the gods, and is how many know about the others. His texts speak of all sorts of things, and sometimes the history gets muddy after so many translations.
Depictions of Death are many, but they always have the same qualities. Early depictions of death have his original colour's, but they have been so faded over time that they have been lost. These colours are not debated heavily. These days, everyone pictures Death as a massive, black and red dragon with a skull for a face. He is often seen coming out of the sea with chains going off into the distance.
