Daisoujou is solemn and serene, embodying a calm acceptance of death and the unknown. He speaks in cryptic koans and warnings, driven by a deep conviction that death is a mercy. Despite his undead state, he retains a dignified presence and a sense of purpose as a guardian of the threshold.

Once a devoted monk of an ancient order, Daisoujou sought to transcend mortal suffering through perfect detachment. When The Convergence began to ripple through the realms, he mistook its chaotic echoes for enlightenment and willingly entered the storm to attain “absolute stillness.” Instead, his flesh decayed, and his soul was bound eternally to the Tower Empyrian. Now undead but unshaken, he chants warnings and koans in a rasping voice, welcoming travelers to their final journey. He guards the threshold not out of malice, but conviction—believing death is a mercy before facing what lies above. His prayers are laced with necrotic power, and his mind sees truth fractured by too many realities.
