Central America Cities (Part 2)

Panamá City, called the Aegis District in Latin American Gate agency doctrine, is the political, economic and training capital for isthmus operations in Panama. About 3.1 million people live across walled coastal districts and inland satellites joined by the elevated Silver Ribbon causeways. The defenses layer seawalls, flood gates and lock citadels with Panama warning network pylons, tethered drones and sonar banks. Inland barrios are broken up by greenbelts and gated skybridges so a Gate cannot run block to block. Ordinary life runs on escorted convoys, shifts timed to the canal, and regular drill days. Registered Breakers here are called Pilotos. They take contracts through a public registry and ride with maritime and highway caravans. Their guildhall doubles as training arena and arbitration court.

Miraflores Accord Plaza spans a deck over the Miraflores Locks and works as civic square, market and staging yard. Convoys form up here, refugees register here, and the city takes its time from the drill bell. The shaded arcades hold the Pilotos registry counters, arbitration kiosks and gear inspectors during working hours. After dark the central dais is used for briefings, cultural shows, and oath ceremonies for new Breaker crews. Announcements are timed to the lock cycles. Security is visible and calm, with wardens on the catwalks, drones roosting under the deck, and bollards that harden the square in seconds. A memorial frieze carries a brass plate for every year since the Opening, naming convoy leaders and Pilotos who died.

Common breaks in Panama include. Slimy Crawler, Acidic Slime, Slime Serpent, Corrosive Heart
